  Ban Dam

Thailand

Besides Thai-style art and artifacts, the eccentric Ban Dam museum in Chiang Rai also features some Balinese and Burmese objects. These carved ornamental gates are in Burmese-style...

... as are the creatures that flank this gate, i.e. two typical legged nagah (fig.), i.e. naga-like creatures, yet with legs, while the two fierce-looking door guardians are Bedogol, i.e. Balinese style dvarapala (fig.).

The museum's garden also has some more modern and futuristic edifices, such as these igloo-like structures.
