Black-shanked Douc Langurs have a largely greyish-blue face, apart from the area of the eye sockets, which is white.

 

In Thai, this species is known as kaang sahm sih, meaning ‘three-coloured langur’ and referring to its three main colours, i.e. grey, blackish-chestnut, and white (fig.).
