  Burmese Minister's Headdress

Myanmar

During the Konbaung Dynasty (1752-1885 AD), Burmese ministers wore a headdress in gold and red velvet, demonstrating their position. The golden crown is adorned with leaves and has a red top shaped like an elongated bowler hat, though is open at the back. It is typically worn by the nat Min Mahagiri (fig.).
