  Congdon Anatomical Museum

The Congdon Anatomical Museum, is part of the Siriraj Hospital Museum within the Siriraj Hospital (fig.) and is situated in the Anatomy Building, conveniently located above the morgue and Dissecting Room.

 

It houses a large collection of normal and abnormal anatomical and osteological samples, including congenial anomalies, visceral anatomy of the thorax, abdomen and pelvis, the central and peripheral nervous system, etc.

There are also some displays of whole body dissections, revealing the fine details of the nervous system and the arterial system of the human body, reminiscent of the dissected human bodies of the Human Body Museum (fig.) within the Faculty of Medicine at the Chulalongkorn University.

 

More distressing are perhaps the many displays of cross-sections of corpses and parts of human bodies.
