A Devil Firefish, which is also known as Common Lionfish. Its feathery dorsal and pectoral fins are actually spines that are highly venomous and can cause severe pain and discomfort upon contact.

VENOMOUS! This ray-finned fish represents a major health threat with increasing envenomation and significant morbidities. Its spines are highly venomous and in case of severe envenoming it is potentially lethal to humans. Upon contact, it can cause cardiovascular, neuromuscular, and cytolytic effects ranging from mild reactions, such as swelling to extreme pain and paralysis in upper and lower extremities.
