Hey there!
Just wanted to drop a line
and give an update about Boracay island.
-
Club paraw is pretty
much dead space and has been so for at least 4 months. I
dunno why they wigged out like they did but they’ve had
the crappiest staff for a while now. It’s like hiring
nazis to bartend at a bar mitzfa. I would take them off
of any gay-friendly lists. That picture you guys have…I
don’t know, but I cant recall them having a wooden dance
floor anytime in the past year. Its all sand.
-
Cocomangas has been
decent and has some of the gay (non-ladyboy) staff from
surrounding bars go there at the end of shift.
Generally, they don’t allow ladyboys in there but gay
males/females have no problem there. It’s a bit discreet
there, nothing open.
-
Wave Disco is in the
basement of Regency Resort…but they most definitely do
NOT allow ladyboys in there unless they look seriously
like girls (as few in the PI do). Last time I was there,
it had zero gay scene going on. They do a horrible
marketing job on that club so it’s generally an empty
room with loud music…ya know, one of those places you’re
embarrassed to walk into.
None of the other bars up
and down the strip are conducive to any gay scene. Some are
hostile towards it and are so numerous I wount mention them.
HOWEVER……there
is one place….Isla Baila (sp?) in the center of D’Mall. 24
hours a day bar. Usually dead during normal hours. After 3am
when other places close, it gets hoppin and is the place for
all the best ladyboys and gays. The manager currently
(night shift) is hip to this and partakes himself. The
staff is way cool. This is a recent turn of events as it was
gay…then not gay…and now gay friendly again. Been this way
for about 5 months now. I’ll grab some shots and send them
in if I remember during stumbling around.
