  Imperial Altar

Vietnam

The Imperial Altar in Hue was used by the kings of the Nguyen Dynasty. It is usually referred to as the Esplanade of Sacrifice to the Heaven and Earth.

It is reminiscent of Tian Tan, i.e. the Altar of Heaven at the Temple of Heaven (fig.) in Beijing. In Vietnamese, it is known as Dan te Troi Dat (Đàn tế Trời Đất).
