An
Indian Pond Heron, also commonly known as
Paddybird (fig.), spotted in
Lumbini, Nepal. In winter plumage it is light brown and
streaked, with white underparts and white wings.
This
makes it almost indistinguishable from the non-breeding plumage of the Javan
and
Chinese Pond Heron (fig.).
