An albino version of the Monocled Cobra, which is also known as the albino Monocellate cobra, a variation of the cobra with the scientific name Naja kaouthia. In Thai it is known as ngu hao pheuak, which confusingly is also the term used for leucistic Monocled Cobras (fig.).

The term monocle refers to the single, pale, oval spot with a dark center, just behind its hood. It typically has red eyes.
