  RTAF aviation training at Villacoublay

Scale model of Villacoublay, a military air base near Paris, where one of the three Founding Fathers of the Royal Thai Air Force in 1912 received his initial aviation training.

 

Here, Maj. Luang Sakdi Sanyawut (fig.) learned to fly in a French-made Breguet Type III biplane (fig.), whereas Capt. Luang Ahwut Sikhikorn (fig.) and Lt. Thip Ketuthat (fig.) were trained at Mourmelon-le-Grand, a military airfield in northern France (fig.).
