  King's Own Guard

Thailand

The King of Thailand is the rightful head of the Royal Thai Armed Forces and the Grand Palace (fig.) in Bangkok is guarded by a ceremonial unit of the King's Own Guard, which is usually referred to as the Royal Guard.

Whilst their uniform of white jackets and helmets has remained the same from the previous reign (fig.), the colour of their trousers has changed with the reign of King Rama X, from black with a red stripe to grey with a yellow stripe.
