A Nieuport 11 WW I trainer monoplane put on display at the Royal Thai Air Force Museum (fig.), with in the back a photo of the Royal Thai Air Force's Founding Fathers (fig.).

 

In this type of plane Capt. Luang Ahwut Sikhikorn and Lt. Thip Ketuthat, two of the RTAF's Founding Fathers, in 1912 received their initial training at Mourmelon-le-Grand, a military airfield in northern France (fig.).
