Statue of Genevieve Caulfield at the Bangkok School for the Blind, which was made by the sculptor Misiam Yipinsoi and inaugurated on 12 December 1983 by the former PM Field Marshal Thanom Kittikachorn.

 

On 12 January 1939, this blind American teacher founded the School for the Blind, which was the first school for the blind in Southeast Asia. In recognition of her work for the blind, she received several awards and is depicted on a Thai postage stamp issued in 2009 and on another stamp issued in 2019.
