A Tiger Moth, spotted in Chiang Mai. Tiger Moths belong to the subfamily Arctiinae, a large and diverse family of moths, that also includes Lichen Moths, Footmen and Wasp Moths.

This particular species has an orange head and black wings with white spots, and is somewhat reminiscent of the Wasp Moth with the scientific name Syntomis huebneri (fig.).
