  Maha Dhammakaya Stupa

The main attraction of Wat Phra Dhamma-kaya (fig.) is the Maha Dhammakaya Stupa, i.e. a large, slowly tapering, hill-like structure, with stair-like levels and topped with a dome.

While the first picture shows the original dome, the second one is a replica of it at the entrance of the complex. In front of this replica, here seen towards the right side of the picture, is a statue depicting water being poured out of a large vessel, a general reference to liberation (fig.) and also used in a sort of Buddhist libation ritual called kruad nahm (fig.).
