  hom pah

Draping cloth, usually saffron coloured, on to Buddha images is called hom pah. The picture shows a piece of cloth draped over the shoulder of a bronze image, in Ayutthaya style, from Petchaburi. The image is standing in the pose of the calming of the waters, a mudra known as abhaya with both hands raised.
