The
lakshana are the physical characteristics of a
buddha
or great man. In
iconography
these are significant. With this image an
urna and
ushnisha,
long fingers and full shoulders, are clearly visible. Tradition added several
more characteristics, such as long earlobes, curled hair, etc. |
