  Champagne Mushrooms

Champagne Mushrooms are a genus of cup fungi in the family Sarcoscyphaceae, with the scientific designation Cookeina sulcipes. These edible mushrooms grow on wood and are 3 to 6 centimeter tall.

 

They have a pale, whitish stipe, i.e the stem or stalk-like feature, and an orangey-pink to pinkish-red (fig.), deep cup-shaped pileus, i.e. the cap-like part, 2 to 4 centimeters in diameter.
