PROVINCIAL ESCUTCHEON
Buriram
The escutcheon of Buriram shows a dancing thevada and in the background Prasat Phanom Rung. The name means 'happy city' and the modern jangwat came into being in the period of Rama V, by merging several ancient khom meuang in the year 1898 AD.
