  Lahu boy

Thailand

A Lahu boy in Chiang Rai, wearing the male traditional dress, which is mostly blackish, with yellow-red and some green embroidery along the edges of the jacket and at the bottom edges of his pants.

At the front part of the jacket this embroidery runs vertically along the edges of the flaps and horizontally at the bottom, as well as on the upper edges of two square front pockets, which have some additional floral designs just above the opening. The jacket can be closed by pompon-like buttons, one on either side of the flaps and with a tiny hook for fastening.
