Thai-Chinese Friendship Park and Cultural Center

Thailand

This stone pavilion-like structure on a curved platform in the Khon Kaen-Nanning Friendship Park,  located at the edge of Kaen Nakhon Lake (fig.), is reminiscent of the marble boat in the Beijing Summer Palace (fig.).

The park is home to the Thai-Chinese Cultural Center and its layout is one typical of Chinese gardens, with enclosing walls, multiple ponds, various plants, trees and flowers, and an assortment of halls and pavilions, that are connected by winding paths, Moon Bridges, and zig-zag galleries.
