Pathum Thani

The escutcheon of Pathum Thani bears the picture of a lotus flower (pathum) in a pond, flanked on both sides by ears of rice. The picture of the lotus refers to the city name that literally means 'city of lotuses' or 'lotus city', whilst the rice refer to the fertility of the land.
