A male Cochin China. This breed of domestic fowl is also known as Chinese Shanghai or simply Cochin, and in Chinese it is called jiu-jin huang. There are many varieties in colour of the plumage, and this cock is of the buff variety. The most distinctive feature of the Cochin China is the excessive plumage that also covers the legs and feet.
