A coffee tree (fig.) or coffee plant with its ripe, reddish brown coffee berries, which are sometimes referred to as coffee cherries.

Inside these berries are two seeds, the coffee beans, commonly called green coffee beans, and which are used to make coffee, yet the sweet flesh of these fresh berries is also edible.
