Cupha erymanthis is a butterfly that has no common designation but which is also known as Cupha placida. The upperside of the wings is ochraceous light brown, with wavy black lines on the margins of the hindwings.

The forewings have a transverse pale yellowish discal band with some blackish spots in the center, while the apexes are blackish with some yellowish dots.
