The park is named after a steep cliff from which the earliest sunrise in the country
can daily be observed...
Besides
this, it has a cave and a walking trail, that leads to a series of
prehistoric paintings, which are estimated to be between
1,000 and 3,000 years old.

The paintings, all in a rusty red
colour, are found on the lower base of the cliff along
the
Mekhong
river. They include aquatic animals and
mammals, as well as some other objects.
