This first-year naval cadet has began his training at the Royal Thai Naval Academy in Samut Prakan, after successfully graduating as a pre-cadet from the Armed Forces Academies Preparatory School in Nakhon Nayok (fig.), part of the Royal Thai Armed Forces. The insignia (fig.) on his cap consists of a golden trah phaen din, similar to the silver emblem on the headgear of the Royal Thai Police (fig.), yet without the beams of light emanating from the Great Crown of Victory (fig.).
