Vajiravudh College in Dusit was initially established for the children of the royal family, and is named after its founder King Rama VI, whose name can also be transcribed Wachirawut.

 

Today, this exclusive school is an all-boys boarding school, located across the street from Dusit's Chitralada Palace. This entrance gate to the Chitralada Faculty, is adorned with the emblem of the college.

It consists of the Great Crown of Victory, known as Phra Maha Phichai Mongkut, with a rasmi (fig.), over the Thai number six () and a vajra, symbols referring to the sixth ruler of the Chakri Dynasty.
