Barn Swallows of the subspecies Hirundo rustica gutturalis, perched on an electrical wire near the outskirts of Pokhara, Nepal.

 

Though they are considered of the same subspecies as those found in Thailand (fig.), the Nepalese birds have no rufous colouring on their breast band, which is rather entirely glossy bluish-black.
