  Common Tree Shrew

The Common Tree Shrew (fig.) is very similar in appearance to its cousin from Borneo, the Mountain Tree Shrew. Though the Common Tree Shrew, shown in both pictures here, is distinct by a characteristic pale mark on the shoulder.

 

Like the slender squirrel (fig.) it also often has a pale area around each eye. See also List of Thai Animal Names.
