PROVINCIAL ESCUTCHEON

Angthong

The coat of arms of Angthong shows ears of rice in a bowl (ang) made of gold (thong), a reference to both its name and the local agriculture which in this province consists mainly of rice. Ideal, due to the low land levels that is easily irrigated with water from the Chao Phraya river.
