														This cone snail has a 
														venomous sting, that 
														injects a strong 
														neurotoxin. Severe 
														envenoming is possible 
														and potentially lethal. 
														Besides local pain at 
														the place of the sting, 
														it may also cause 
														headache, nausea, 
														vomiting, abdominal 
														pain, diarrhoea, 
														tachypnoea, respiratory 
														distress, dizziness, 
														collapse or convulsions, 
														and hypotension, 
														associated with rapid 
														development of major, 
														potentially lethal, 
														flaccid neurotoxic 
														paralysis. All cases 
														should be treated as 
														urgent and potentially 
														lethal. There is no 
														known antivenom! |
