  Household Case-bearing Moth

Thailand

The Household Case-bearing Moth, known scientifically as Phereoeca uterella, is named after the case it lives in during its larval stage (fig.), when it is also referred as Plaster Bagworm (fig.), known in Thai as non plok.

This one, spotted in a Bangkok home, has just emerged from its larval case, which is assembled from silken fiber and debris, to start its adult live.
