Kruh Kaay Kaew is a fierce looking devil-like demon with a black complexion and a set of black wings on his back. He has two vampire-like, golden fangs that grow downward and a red pundra, i.e. a sectarian mark, on his forehead, in addition to red eyes, red toenails, and red, long, sharp fingernails. He has a thin body, like an ascetic, because he cannot eat what is good, but can eat only dirty things. In the back is a golden statue of Nataraja (fig.).
