Reua Dang, literally ‘shield boats’, are lesser escort barges used in the Royal Barge Procession to accompany the true Royal Barges on the outside of the convoy. During the ceremony the bow and stern are adorned with a pair of creamy-white tassels, one on each side, and a golden, green-red, pah thip-like streamer made from brocade, in the middle.
