Phra Kamphaeng Soom Ko (พระกำแพงซุ้มกอ)

Thai. Name of a popular and well-known Buddhist amulet from Thung Setthi (ทุ่งเศรษฐี), a field in Kamphaeng Phet, which depicts a Buddha image seated in the pahng samahti or meditation pose. It exists is different formats and is also referred to as Phra Soom Ko and for larger formats as Phra Kamphaeng Soom Ko Pim Yai (พระกำแพงซุ้มกอพิมพ์ใหญ่). It is believed to offer protection against weapons, and to bring good luck and wealth. It is part of a set of five amulets, that are collectively known as Phra Khreuang Benjaphahkhih (fig.), which are associated with the five elements, and of which Phra Kamphaeng Soom Ko represents the element of gold, which comes from earth.
