						Mendaka, in Thai known
						as

			Menthaka
Setthi, was a wealthy,
						generous follower of the

			Buddha, famed for his
charitable acts and symbolic golden goats, believed to
be rewards for his past virtues. His life exemplifies
ethical wealth and compassion in Buddhist teachings.

He is here depicted with a magical
goat, which possesses the ability to produce gold coins
whenever it is stroked or touched by Mendaka.
