Nga Moe Yeik is the giant Crocodile King from the tragic love story Shin Mway Loon nae Min Nandar (fig.).

 

It is sometimes represented on the railing of staircases at temples (fig.) in Myanmar, as a form of makara (fig.), as here at the Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon (fig.), where it has a yaksha, guarding the pagoda entrance, in front of it.
