  Pathein umbrella production

Myanmar

A man in a workshop in Pagan (fig.) produces small hand-painted parasols and umbrellas, with a bamboo framework.

Those are known as Pathein and named after their place of origin, i.e. Pathein, a district of Ayeyawady in Myanmar. The Pathein is an attribute of U Shwe Yo (fig.).
