Statue of King Phra Phutta Yotfa Chulalok, formerly known as general Chao Phya Chakri, the founder and first ruler of the Chakri Dynasty, known by his crown title Rama I, at Uthayaan Rachaphak (fig.). He ruled Siam from AD 1782 until 1809 and is regarded as a Maha Raj or ‘Great King’.
