A Plain Tiger has tawny wings, with black on the apical half of the forewing, white spots and a white band.

 

The hind wing has a thin border of black enclosing a series of semicircular white spots, and three black spots around the center.

In addition, it also has a fourth spot, which is white and broadly bordered with black and which is especially visible on the underside of the hind wings. See also List of Thai Insect Names.
