  Ramkhamhaeng National Museum

Ramkhamhaeng National Museum is located in Old Sukhothai, near the main entrance of Sukhothai Historical Park, and consists of both an indoor and outdoor display area, the latter accommodating the larger, mostly architectural features.

 

Inside the museum houses Buddhist art and artifacts, as well as ancient utensils, such as  pottery and weaponry, most of it recovered from historical sites in and around the Sukhothai and Sri Satchanalai Historical Parks (fig.).

The upper indoor hall also has a section that displays Sangkhalok earthenware, i.e. ceramics made in the area between the 14th and 16th centuries AD.
