Four Shwe Daw Lay Su Pagodas

Myanmar

A laminated poster at Shwezigon Phaya, with depictions of all four temples entwined in the Shwe Daw Lay Su legend of King Anawrahta (fig.), i.e. Tantkyitaung Zedi (map - fig.), Shwezigon Phaya (map - fig.), Lawkananda Zedi (map - fig.), and Tuyintaung Zedi (map - fig.), that were all built to house tooth relics of the Buddha.

According to popular believe, if pilgrims to these sites are able to visit all four locations in a single morning, their wishes will be fulfilled.
