  Tinfoil Barbs

A school of Tinfoil Barbs, spotted in Chiaw Lan reservoir (fig.), at Khao Sok National Park. These carp-like freshwater fish have a silvery body with a golden shine and a red dorsal fin with a black blotch at the tip. They also have red pectoral, pelvic and anal fins, and a red caudal fin with a white margin and two black sub-marginal stripes.

 

This school of fish was gathering at the garbage disposal gap of the kitchen at the National Park's jungle raft houses (fig.) in order to eat any food waste.
