CLEAR DAY LANDING AT BANGKOK'S SUWANNAPHUM AIRPORT

VIDEO DESCRIPTION

A clear day landing at Bangkok's Suwannaphum (สุวรรณภูมิ) International Airport in early November 2022, with a loop descend that allowed for fantastic views of the Bay of Bangkok in the Gulf of Thailand and the Samut Prakan (สมุทรปราการ) coastline, with the Bang Poo (บางปู) Nature Reserve, the Bang Pakong (บางปะกง) River and the seaside temple of Wat Hong Thong (วัดหงษ์ทอง) in Chachengsao (ฉะเชิงเทรา), as well as of Wat Bang Phli Yai Klang (วัดบางพลีใหญ่กลาง) in  Samut Prakan, a Buddhist temple that houses Somdet Phra Sakayamuni Sri Sumet Bophit (สมเด็จพระศากยมุณีศรีสุเมธบพิตร), Thailand's largest reclining Buddha image with a length of over 53 meters. Upon landing at ‘Swampy’ plenty of aircraft of THAI and a few of Bangkok Airways can still be seen parked on the tarmac, indicating that the industry has not yet fully recovered from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems that many of the international flights these airlines suspended due to the coronavirus have not yet resumed.
