Statue of the Chinese-Taoist ghost Ying Jiang, i.e. the Eagle General’, at Fengdu Ghost City (fig.). He is one of the four guardians at the gate of the Emperor's Hall in Diyu, i.e. Hell. This demon has a black complexion, downward growing fangs, bulging eyes, and carries an eagle on his arm.
