											These kernels, called pong pong 
											seeds (fig.), 
											are initially white in colour but 
											eventually turn blackish upon 
											exposure to air. The fibrous shell 
											is slightly larger than a tennis 
											ball and, at first glance or from a 
											distance, resembles a small coconut. 
											These seeds 
											
											are often used decoratively in dry
