PREVIOUS MOTH NEXT MOTH China

A few species hawk moth are able to hover in midair, which allows them to quickly take in plenty of food, without the need of landing.

They have the capability to move swiftly from side to side whilst hovering, a quality that both allows for added intake of food, but also burns up more energy.
