Jan-in, a deciduous tree with the botanical name Diospyros decandra, in the royal garden of Vimanmek palace in Bangkok. It is also known as simply jan or chan, and was therefore chosen as the provincial tree of Chanthaburi. In English, it is known as the Gold Apple Tree (fig.).
