PREVIOUS LIZARD NEXT LIZARD Vietnam

Skinks, called jing lehn in Thai, are lizard-like reptiles, although usually without a pronounced neck and relatively small or reduced legs, or even with no legs at all, depending on the genus. This one is a Many-lined Sun Skink, also known as Common Sun Skink and Vietnam Forest Skink, and with the Latin scientific name Mabuya multifasciata, with normal olive-brown colouration.

Though difficult to identify, the skink in the photo on the right is most likely an Olive Tree Skink (Dasia olivacea).
